The popular messaging node WhatsApp received an update to its concealment insurance of late, which has users looking for an alternative. However, Facebook and its subsidiaries, including WhatsApp, go along to attract billions of users. The privacy policy update for WhatsApp is just one more step in Facebook's consolidation of user information. With Facebook's atrocious record, plane big names like Elon Musk recommend WhatsApp users switch to Signal.

Unlike WhatsApp, Signal isn't owned by a massive social media conglomerate. The Signal Foundation is a not-profit that develops the open-source Signalise Messenger, which primarily focuses on concealment.
